COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND CELEBRITIES WILL COOK & DISH FOR KIDS ON 2015 CHILDREN’S DAY

Wally Walters Foundation (CAC/IT/No/76020) is an innovative not for profit organization that is dedicated to providing vital resources to impoverished individuals in Nigeria, including youths (orphans, street kids and troubled kids), widows and marginalized women.

On May 27, 2015, WALLY WALTERS FOUNDATION in partnership with PHOTOGRAPHY FOR CHANGE will be spending quality time with the kids at the Special Correctional Centre for Boys in Oregun Lagos. Wally Walters Foundation plan to donate gently used clothing and shoes that our friends and family in the US have donated to our NGO to the Special Correctional Center located in Oregun. We plan to cook for the children, and serve them so as to make them feel special on Children’s Day. The objective is to empower, encourage and mentor these children so that they too can gain confidence and grow up to be fine productive citizens of Nigeria.

The guests and volunteers that have decided to give back to the community in May 27 are a confluence of the community members and celebrities in Nigeria. These wonderful citizens have made up their minds to fulfill their social responsibilities. Among the celebrities are Nollywood Superstar Toyin Aimakhu, Singer and Songwriter Sheyi Shay, Celebrity Photographers Jide Odukoya and Bayo Omoboriowo, and popular Actor/Producer Yomi Fabiyi. These various persons are aware of the effect mentoring young children have relative to long-term decisions, volunteering to spend time with the kids and spending quality time also guarantee the kids that there are people who sincerely care about them.

Children’s Day is around the corner and we are looking forward to having you celebrate with us as we "Cook and Dish" to the kids at the Special Correctional Center for boys in Oregun, Lagos. In order to empower and mentor these kids, we at Wally Walters Foundation are serving them varieties of food and treating them special on Children’s Day including giving out empowerment materials, toys and gifts. Therefore, we look forward to having you as a volunteer as we give back to our community.

Donated items:

  • 3 bags of rice
  • Gizzards & Dodo
  • Small Chops
  • 100 BBQ chicken
  • Soft Drinks
  • Bottled Water
  • DJ (Disc Jockey)
  • N35,000 Naira (by 3 volunteers; 10K, 20K, 5K)

Needed items:

  • Bags of Beans
  • Poundo Yam
  • Cartons of Chicken
  • Cartons of Fish
  • Cartons of Turkey
  • Bag of Semo
  • Cooking Ingredients
  • Beverages (soft drinks, water)
  • Toys/Gifts for winners of games.

WALLY WALTERS FOUNDATION'S 2015 COOK & DISH

On Children's Day May 27, 2015, Wally Walters Foundation organized an event that benefited the youths at the Special Correctional Center in Orgeun, Lagos. Among the partners that help made the event successful are the "Photograph-a-Child" celebrity photographers and Mr. Mustapha Sule.
